Baylor Bears Target 4-Star Brayden Booth After Successful Visit

The Baylor Bears football program has emerged as a strong contender for four-star edge rusher Brayden Booth following his recent visit to Waco. This past weekend was significant for Baylor as head coach Dave Aranda's team hosted several top prospects, including offensive line commits Chase Allen and Hudson Whitenight. Booth, a 6'5", 220-pound prospect from San Antonio, Texas, is set to make his commitment in July, choosing between Baylor, Kansas State, and North Carolina. Initially, Kansas State seemed to have the upper hand, but Booth's visit to Baylor has reignited their chances. He expressed that the competition is tight, stating, "It’s pretty tied right now." Booth appreciated the family atmosphere at Kansas State but felt a stronger emphasis on community during his time at Baylor. His positive impressions included connecting with players and staff, particularly with defensive player Trent Thomas, who provided valuable insights into defensive schemes. Should Booth choose Baylor, he would become the top prospect in the Bears' 2027 recruiting class, which currently includes six commitments. The Baylor Bears are keen to maintain their momentum in the recruiting race against other programs like Texas and Texas Tech.
